For three days at the end of June, we're inviting you to join us for music, camping, inspiration and a big dose of frendship at The Frendly Gathering. Tucked into the green mountains of Southern Vermont, we discovered Timber Ridge, an old ski resort with lots of character, which has become home to our festival and an incredible community of people. As native Vermonters, we really feel like we get to open up our backyard to Frends from around the world. At the Frendly Gathering you can expect an intimate experience, short lines and lots of smiling faces. All year long we put together music, workshops and activities that will bring you closer to the Frends you love, and introduce you to new ones that you've yet to meet.

We believe that life is better when lived together. See you in June.

Jatoba will be sharing the stage with Yonder Mountain  String Band's own Jeff Austin and his current project The Here and Now at The Flying Monkey in Plymouth, NH on Saturday, November 16th.

Regretfully, we must postpone our show at Harlow's scheduled for Saturday, 9/7. We will be rescheduling for a date later this fall.

Happy Spring! It's nice to finally get some warm weather in the Northeast! So looking back at our show schedule for the past five years, we realized that we haven't really ever had more than a few consecutive weeks without playing a show. That kind of schedule is a blast, but man is it tiring!

In light of this discovery, Jatoba has decided to take a few months away from playing shows. Our intent is to focus on tightening up our existing repertoire, writing a bunch of new material, and hopefully getting some time in the recording studio. We have a lot of ideas and incomplete songs floating around out there, and we are really psyched to finally have the time to bring them to fruition.

We still have a couple of festival gigs booked for late spring, but we plan on getting back to gigging sometime this summer. We will be periodically posting new online content on this site and other social media outlets for ya'll to enjoy, so be sure to keep an eye out. We hope to see everyone this summer!

Not only are we nominated for Best Bluegrass Band 2013, but we will be doing a very special performance with EDM DJ Stegga!

We're anticipating the world not ending, so what better way to celebrate life than to join JATOBA and a VERY SPECIAL GUEST BAND covering The Greatful Dead's Reckoning album for our 2nd annual New Year's Eve throwdown at The Stone Church in downtown Brattleboro, VT!

Jatoba is pleased to announce a three-night run with The Infamous Stringdusters, Oct. 18-20. This run of shows will Start in Portland, ME, run through Burlington, VT, and finish up in Ithaca, NY!

We are excited to make our first ever trip to the fames Backwoods Pondfest!

A weekend of live music, camping, art and fun. Over 20 bands on 2 stages. Park by your tent, have your own campfire, BYOB (no glass), free camping with ticket. There will be fire spinners, food vendors, craft & novelty vendors and much more. The 2012 band lineup includes: Max Creek, Break Science, Floodwood featuring Al Schnier & Vinnie Amico of Moe, Kung Fu, Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds, Spiritual Rez, Lucid, The Alchemystics, Jim, The Indobox, Thunder Body, Twiddle, The Mallett Brothers Band, Sophistafunk, Desolation Angels, Turbine, The Blind Spots, Jatoba, Capital Zen, The Blind Owl Band, Sinecure, and Doomf#@k

We will be sharing the stage for the first time with Trampled by Turtles at the Paper Mill Island Ampitheater in Baldwinsville, NY on 7/20/12.

Jatoba is excited to be a part of Friendly Gathering 2012! This is our first time at this VT festival, and it looks like it will be a great time!

We will be playing two shows in New York with our fellow Vermonters Twiddle!

Jatoba spent two days in a cabin in the middle of northern Vermont in February, armed with nothing but instruments, recording gear, food and no cell phones (although we did have PBR).
